Blue Thunder Masters Water Polo Club Information

2019 The Momentum Continues....

Blue Thunder entered the Classic Division at the Surf City Tournament in February 2019.  Many of the teams brought younger "Classic" players which challenged the Blue Thunder team.  Our team was comprised of players ranging in age from mostly the mid-40's to 64 .  The final place for the competition was 7th Place.  With each game, the team showed improvement and discipline.
In June 2018, Blue Thunder Masters entered 6 teams in the 2018 USAWP Masters Nationals.  By far, the most from any Club.  3 of the BTMWPC Teams earned medals in their Divisions.  Overall, the play was tough, everyone got to work on building as a team, practicing the skills from Camp and enjoying the spirit of playing water polo.
45+ Division: 3rd Place
50+ Division: 5th Place
60+ Division: 3rd and 6th Place
65+ Division: 3rd and 4th Place

In  March 2019, Greg and his staff built upon last year's Camp skills and strategies.  These skills and strategies need to become part of every Club member's individual practice.  They are the foundation for all tournament competitions.

Competition opportunities in 2019 will be available for registration on the Tournament page as they become available.

Greg Enloe (Enloe Academy) and his assistant coaches drilled home the following concepts during the 2018 & 2019 Camps. Key to the game is the way a team plays defense.  This is accomplished by playing passing lane defense, preventing the ball from moving around the perimeter with easy passing and eventually being passed into the center forward position on the open side. All Blue Thunder Masters teams will be play defense based on these strategies.
